Dr. Konstantinos O. Oureilidis holds the special scientist position at the PV Technology, FOSS Research Centre for Sustainable Energy in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Cyprus. He received his Diploma (2008) and PhD degrees (2015) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and his Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki (2015). During his basic and post-graduate studies, he had received many awards for his academic excellence. During the winter semester of 2016-2017, he taught the course of Electric Motion Systems in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and he was a lab assistant for the course of Power Electronics at the Department of Electrical Engineering of Western Macedonia University of Applied Sciences. During the academic year 2015-2016, he worked as a post-doc researcher at the Electric Machines Laboratory of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki receiving a funding from IKY Fellowships of Excellence for postgraduate studies in Greece – Siemens Program. He has also worked as a freelancer conducting energy projects in Greece (especially photovoltaic plants), technical and economical projects for investment laws and inspecting the design and performance of photovoltaic projects. His fields of interest include the microgrids, control of power electronics, distributed generation, renewable energy sources and protection. He is Member of IEEE and Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
